Yachts on the Caledonian Canal

West Highland Sailing's fleet of modern yachts offers well-mannered handling together with sparkling performance. All yachts are fin-keeled for superior sailing characteristics and have roller-reefing Genoa and slab reefing mainsails. All have diesel engines.

The interiors are designed to be practical both under sail and when moored. All feature a well-fitted galley and a separate toilet compartment. Our YCA29 and Sigma yachts have cold water only and the Moody 28 has hot water and heating.

Safety equipment inventories are based on Royal Yachting Association standards and include buoyancy aids for each crew member, anchor and chain, flares, lifebelt, maps and general cruising information.

As much sailing tuition as is required by the novice sailor is provided. A non-refundable damage waiver of £25 is charged, plus a £20 deposit against the cost of fuel used.

All yachts can be hired per week, and mid-week or weekend short breaks are available except in July and August. Hire periods start in the afternoon and finish in the morning.
