Ivy Cottage
If you like to be near the water rather than on it then we have the perfect answer – our small but perfectly formed single-storey holiday cottage attractively situated by the water’s edge right beside our offices and in an ideal place to watch the boats go by. It is a perfect getaway for couples, and an ideal base from which to fish the loch. Guests can also ski (in season) at Aonach Mor on Ben Nevis or visit Loch Ness, Inverness, Fort William and the Isle of Skye. Loch fishing rights are included.
Alternatively, you can simply sit in the waterside garden and watch the world – and the boats – go by. You will find our unique local pub (the Eagle barge) just across the lock gates. There is a hotel, restaurant, shops and other facilities at Invergarry village 3 miles away, or at Fort Augustus, 12 miles from Laggan.
The cottage makes a perfect getaway for a couple, with everything you need for a comfortable holiday. The accommodation is all on the ground floor, with a comfortable living cum dining room featuring an open fire (fuel provided). There is a television. The kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker, washing machine and tumble dryer. The bath has a shower fitted.
There is a well-fenced garden with garden furniture, ideal for picnics or barbecues or just watching the boats go by. There is ample parking, and electricity and bed linen are included in the price.
